Powys Countryside Volunteers

27th November 2015

Had a great turn out of volunteers yesterday, at a Powys Countryside volunteer induction day held at the Offa's Dyke Centre in Knighton. It was attended by some of the existing volunteers, plus many new faces and some of Powy's new Volunteer Team Leaders. Phil Stallard, the Powys Countryside Volunteer co-ordinator lead the day with some iintroductions and covered health and safety matters and the role of volunteers within Powys and handed out some kit to the new volunteers. And then in the afternoon, we did some practical tasks on the Offa's Dyke Path behind centre, and Kevin Straw, one of the ROW team lead a task to install a new fingerpost on the Trail as a training exercise.
