New Dolley Bridge open for Walkers

20th October 2014

Works have now finished on replacing Old Dolley Bridge, the brand new bridge is ready to welcome walkers for many years to come. Remember, if you have time stop  awhile to enjoy the River Lugg, you might be rewarded with seeing dippers, pied wagtail, kingfisher and if very lucky otters, its afabolous spot.

Within the construction of the bridge , we have have done our bit for wildlife by installing a dipper/pied wagtail box under the bridge decking.

One of the pictures shows our first new walkers crossing the bridge, who I meet while taking down all the diversion signs.

Thank you very much for following the diversion while works were in progress and sorry for any inconvenience.
