Medieval Hall Opens door to visitors

Ty Mawr medieval hall, near Castle Caereinion is to hold its next Open Days on July5/6, August 2/3 and September  6/7  from 11am to 4 pm.

Costumed guided tours and talk at 11. 30 am and 2.30 pm.

History Matters invites everyone, local people and visitors, to discover the story of the rescue and reconstruction of Ty Mawr the largest aisled hall in Wales built in 1460. With a living history display of life in the 15th century , demonstrations of crafts and skills,archery, arms and armour from the Wars of the Roses.

Visitors can also see volunteers constructing a medieval pottery kiln as part of its ongoing experimental archaeology projects.

Ty Mawr will be open to the public from 11am to 4pm and entry to the event field is £6 for adults, £4 concessions and £3 for children.
