Towering hillsides on Offa's Dyke Path

The 13th Clun Valley Challenge

16 May 2015

digwyddiad cerdded

The Clun Valley Challenge Walk is organised by St. George’s Primary School PTA (registered charity) and was first started in 2003.  The 13th walk is on Saturday 16th May 2015.  During the past 12 years it has grown into a great Challenge event raising thousands of pounds for our local children.

Venue: The walk starts and finishes at St George’s C of E Primary School, Clun.  Please follow signs and steward’s instructions for car parking.   Post Code SY7 8JQ & grid reference 299806

Route: Choose either the 26 or 16 mile route, both with some challenging Shropshire Hills (approximately 4300’ of ascent).   The scenery is spectacular and the route consists of tracks, bridleways, footpaths and a minimal amount of quiet road walking/running.  There are 3 manned checkpoints (long route) with refreshments in addition to self clip passage controls.

A light meal is available at the finish. We are affectionately known as the ‘Gourmet Walk’ due to the kind donations of parents.
