The Thames Path is exceptionally well served by public transport which makes it possible to explore the Trail without needing a car by using trains, buses or, unusually for a National Trail, boats.
The Thames Path National Trail on-line travel planner shows bus routes, train routes, boat services and car parks outside London including links to relevant timetables and information. The travel planner is updated twice a year but it is always wise to check timetables with the operator before travelling.
If you need a taxi to help with your journey see our list of taxi companies.
Alternatively, for public transport information and journey planning visit the Traveline website or call them on 0871 200 22 33. For public transport in London use the Transport for London journey planner.
