South Downs Way link routes getting a facelift

6th April 2017

Some of the key link routes to and from the South Downs Way are getting a bit of a facelift. New information plaques on the trail will let people know what facilities can be found at each nearby village. A QR code that can be scanned using most mobile phones will bring up an map of the best route to the town or village and a finger on the signpost will also point the way with a distance. Along the link route you will now be helped with bespoke waymark discs to help you nagavate either to the village or back from the village to the South Downs Way. Look out for these improvements, which will be rolled out over the coming weeks.

Routes will be signed linking the SDW to Midhurst, Cocking, Storrington, Steyning, Hurstpirpoint and Hassocks. Further locations will be added later in the year. We hope that this will make it easier for people to find their way to nearby villages for lunch, supplies, accommodation or transport. All of the link routes are also shown on our interactive map in the website.
