Hadrian's Wall Path Passport2nd December 2015
A big thank you to our passport holders - updated 18th November 2016
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in 2016 by buying the Trail Passport, certificates and badges. The income is a vital lifeline without which we would have been unable to pay for much of what we have achieved this year. All of England's National Trails are going through yet another period of uncertainty over future funding from Natural England and we are faced with finding more of our own resources.
Next year, with the prospect of further cuts in funding the Passport will be more important to us than ever before. If you are planning on walking Hadrian's Wall Path in 2017 then please support us by buying the Passport and after you have achieved your goal of walking all 84 miles, the achievers' badge and certificate. They are available in advance on-line from www.trailgiftshop.co.uk If you live in Carlisle then they are available from Carlisle TIC; on Tyneside from Segedunum Roman Fort and in Northumberland National Park from Walltown Country Park.
If you decide to book your holiday through one of the walking companies then I would encourage you to support the firms that support us. The following firms, who I would like to personally thank, buy Passports for their customers: Hillwalk Tours, Macs Adventure Shepherds' Walks Holidays and Mickledore Travel.
For new trade orders by walking operators and retailers please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Achievers' badges and certificates
Walkers who have completed the Trail and collected their full set of stamps are entitled to buy the exclusive achievers' badge and certificate. They are available in Wallsend from 'Segedunum Roman Fort & Museum' and in Bowness-on-Solway from the 'Wallsend Guest House, Wigwam and Tea Room'. You can also buy them by mail order, (£8.50, including p&p, per badge and certificate combined - UK residents only), by completing the mail order panel on your Passport. Please contact me (email address below) if you are from overseas because I will need to check the cost of additional postage to your country.
Passport stamping station guide
As part of your holiday planning you can download the pictorial guide to the locations of the stamping stations. Some are inside museum entrances, while some of the stamping boxes are on outside walls, so this guide will help you to spot them on your way.
Thank you, Dave McGlade
